The research method was descriptive-correlational. The statistical population is all male high school students in Behshahr public schools in the academic year of 1998-99, which was a total of 800 people. Samples were selected. Data collection tools included standard Gentry Gobel and Riza (2002) questionnaires, McCouch & Siegel school attitudes (2003) and self-directed learning from the Fisher scale (2001). Data were analyzed using correlation coefficient and structural equations using SPSS18 and PLS software. Findings showed that there is a positive and significant relationship between students' interest, challenging behaviors, attitude towards school, choice and feeling of pleasure with attitude towards school in second grade high school male students in Behshahr.
