Curriculum Assessment in Virtual Education at Farhangian University: Needs, Content and Method in Virtual Education

Abstract

The purpose of the present study was to evaluate the curriculum implemented in virtual education at Farhangian University in terms of needs, content and methodology in virtual education. The statistical population of this study was 150 students of Kerman University of Technology. 106 samples were selected using Morgan table. Purposeful sampling method was used, ie those who participated in virtual training courses. Data collection tool is a researcher-made questionnaire. To assess the validity of the questionnaire, its content validity was assessed and its reliability was estimated 0.869 using Cronbach's alpha coefficient. Data analysis was done in two levels of descriptive and inferential statistics (one sample t-test). The results showed that for the students of Farhangian University, the content factors presented in the virtual education courses are desirable and the factors considering the students' needs and teaching methods in the virtual courses are undesirable. Overall, the findings of the study showed that, on average, students were undesirable in virtual education courses at Farhangian University.
